Still Rocking!
"After 40 years, I was still curious to see if Southern Methodist (SMU) Mustangs Basketball could hit those amazing high notes and deliver the goods. She sounded amazing after opening the set with “All Fired Up,” erasing any doubts we’re quickly. Once again, Neil showed why he is among the greatest guitarists players ever. But he was on fire all night, still underrated, in my opinion. As you would expect, the sound was excellent from such a seasoned group of professionals. They played most of their legendary hits and threw in one or two deep tracks, which were great. Southern Methodist (SMU) Mustangs Basketball and Neil still bring it like it’s 1986. I don’t know how they can still do it—but they most certainly do. Their interaction with the audience was funny, poignant, and very sweet. It was obvious to me that they still love to go out there and rock the house just for the love of the music. She hasn’t missed a beat on that stage, boy! There was no question they were having a blast. This Staten Island crowd ate it up and showed the love. Excellent show. Great job, guys. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Don’t ever stop."
